  1. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
    My number one movie of all time.
  2. Napolean Dynamite (2004)
    Great dancing.  Vote for Pedro.
  3. Rocky (1976)
    Adrien!
  4. The Wrestler (2008)
    Wow, what an acting job.  Or was it acting?  This movies seems simple but it has so many levels.
  5. Alien (1979)
    The first realistic space horror movie.  Gritty and scary.  My favorite scene was in the cargo bay where cat and mouse is played without the visuals.  Awsome.
  6. Million Dollar Baby (2004)
    Hilary Swank shows what a great actress she is. The relation ship between her and Clint Eastwood is realistic and warm.  Morgan Freeman completes the movie by helping you to understand Clint's character.  She has so much heart, you have to give her a piece of yours.  And then it breaks.
  7. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
    Stanly Kubrick's comedy.  Still an amazing movie to watch.
  8. Pan's Labyrinth (2006)
    A haunting movie you can never forget.  No holly wood ending here.
  9. Let the Right One In (2008)
    You have never seen a Vampire movie like this one.  Original and mesmerizing.
  10. It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
    My family watches this every Christmas Eve.  You can never get tired of it.  I sometimes look for rose petals in my pocket.
    It will never fall out of my top 10.

  11. Eraser Head (1977)
    Warning: This is one strange movie.  But I liked it before I knew what is about.  See here:

    It is very disturbing, but somehow it sticks with you.  Do not watch this movie if you already have a headache.
  12. Matilda (1996)
    You have to love a Roald Dahl story brought faithfully to the big screen.
  13. City of Lost Children (1995)
    A bit confusing but startling.  Watch it more than once.
  14. Big Fish (2003)
    A real heart tugger.   It is all about the generation gap and how when you get older it disappears.  And maybe your parents are not so bad after all, so much of them is you.
