The car was sold to me by a lonely, thirty something blonde haired woman who kept talking about her husband being on the road all the time.  She might have been selling the car as a social event!  She was very pretty and I did not notice all the rust on the car.  Neither did my girlfriend Gladys who liked the car but did not seem to like the owner one bit.  While I was waiting for my loan to come through the owner invited me over to discuss the intricacies of all the controls on the Cutlass Supreme and maybe we could have a drink.  Of course I declined since I was an automotive "expert" and I knew how to operate everything or so I thought.  What a nice lady!  So helpful.

Well after purchasing the car it did not take long for the rust to show through.  Even though the car was only six years old it was rusting all over.  But I did like driving it.  Smooth ride, powerful engine sound.  I went all out and bought another under dash killer stereo and good speakers.   I was riding in style to school and my nightly job working as a feeder operator on a printing press.  But then payment time came.  What was I thinking?  By the third payment I was ready to part ways with Cutlass. 

My girlfriend loved Cutlass, maybe it was the pirate association.  She made more money than me as a waitress and the car fit her after hours life style.  She was very generous and paid me exactly what I paid for the car.  Thank you Gladys!  You were very kind.  After she bought the car she had it painted for quite a bit of money.  The car looked great for about a year.  Then it started to turn red around the edges.  Two rust buckets in a row!  Good going GM!
