Mustang GT.  In 1989 this was one of the fastest reasonably priced V8 cars made. 

I do not have many fond memories of this car.  Mainly because I bought it on impulse.  I got a big promotion at work and  50% raise.  Yowza!  What is the first thing I do?  I go to my local Ford dealer and buy the first black stick shift V8 Mustang I see.  Well this was not too popular a move at home.  It was an impulse buy.  The dealer made it so easy.  Take it home right now!

This car was so unpopular at home I returned it to the dealer and told them to take it back.  No dice.  It sat on their lot for days.  After a while I realized the car was mine and I had to face the music.  I returned and picked up the car.

Actually it was a great car.  It was much faster than my '86 Mustang GT, but it was not quite as good looking to my eyes.

I cannot remember how long I owned this car, but I do remember I sold it privately.  The new owner was a 17 year old boy who felt like he was the luckiest person alive to be the owner of this fine pony.  But because of the rough start with this car I was very relieved to be rid of it.  I was reminded quite often of the stupidity of this purchase.  Good riddance GT.
